[WARNING] Sony to Ban Jailbroken PlayStation 3

Sony continues its war against Geohot. You should pay attention to this warning if you own PS3 (PlayStation 3), few weeks ago I reported you about the exploits which has been discovered by Geohot on PS3 (PlayStation 3). Sony has responded to Geohot by prosecution and now Sony intend to punish its users who have jailbroken PS3s.

Official statement form Sony:

Consumers using circumvention devices or running unauthorized or pirated software will have access to the PlayStation Network and access to Qriocity services through PlayStation 3 system terminated permanently.

Sony will ban anyone use jailbroken PS3 from PSN. Sony is also sending some warning emails to them, here’s a sample from these email:

A circumvention device and/or unauthorized or pirated software currently resides on your PlayStation(R)3 system.

Immediately cease use and remove all circumvention devices and delete all unauthorized or pirated software from your PlayStation(R)3 system. Failure to do so will result in termination of your access to PlayStation(R) Network and access to Qriocity(TM) services through your PlayStation(R)3 system.
