Social Media Has a Field Day After Apple’s Announcement of the HomePod

Apple’s WWDC event was filled with a bunch of key announcements, including the unveiling of iOS 11 and all the new features that it brings to the fore. Apple also had a couple of hardware announcements which received the usual wave of commendation on social media. However, the company’s new Siri-powered smart speaker, known as the HomePod, was ridiculed almost immediately after its launch.
