Almost two weeks ago, we posted about a new jailbreak tool developed by the Pwn Dev Team called Ac1dSnow released to jailbreak iOS 5 on Mac. We showed you how to jailbreak iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 on Ac1dSnow.
However, shortly after we learned that Ac1dSnow was pulled off the internet for infringing on Apple`s copyrights meaning it`s illegal to use.
We come bearing good news. A second version of Ac1dSnow is now available for download. With this update, you can jailbreak iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 on a Mac running OS X Lion or Snow Leopard. The other supported devices are iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 4G.
The jailbreaking guide for that version is identical to that of the last.
