Apple’s key chip supplier TSMC doubling 16nm chip production ahead of iPhone 7

Taiwanese website DigiTimes reports that TSMC, Apple’s key processor supplier is doubling capacity of 16nm chips in March. While the report doesn’t specify the exact reason, the Taiwan based fabrication company is probably gearing up for the next generation iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
