Heads up everyone, the Apple Watch is now available for pre-order. You can grab yours from either Apple’s online store or the Apple Store app on your iPhone or iPad. Some of us are able to get through, while others aren’t, so be patient. As usual, it seems the Apple Store app is your best bet.

Apple Watch is available for pre-order in nine countries: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US.

As a quick reminder, the Apple Watch comes in three models: Sport, Apple Watch and Edition; two sizes: 38mm and 42mm; and with various bands. The Sport is aluminum and starts at $349, the Apple Watch is stainless steel and starts at $549, and the 18K gold Edition starts at $10,000.

Apple Watch is powered by Apple’s custom-designed S1 SiP (System in Package), and includes revolutionary features such as the Digital Crown that lets you scroll, zoom, and navigate the display, which also works as a Home button and a convenient way to access Siri. The Retina Display on the Apple Watch features Force Touch, which adds a whole new dimension to the user interface, and one of the biggest innovation in sensing capability since multi-touch. It can sense the difference between a tap and a press, and accordingly provide access to controls within apps. Apple Watch also includes a Taptic engine for notifications, which many reviewers have said is the most impressive piece of technology of Apple Watch. It also includes a Heart Rate Apple Watch also features Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 4.0 to pair seamlessly with your iPhone. Apple Watch uses the accelerometer, a built-in heart rate sensor, GPS and Wi-Fi from your iPhone for health and fitness tracking features.
Pricing

Apple is selling the Watch in three different collections — Apple Watch, with a polished or space black stainless steel case; Apple Watch Sport, with a space gray or silver anodized aluminum case; and Apple Watch Edition, with an 18-karat rose or yellow gold case.

Apple Watch Sport is the least expensive model with prices starting at $349 for the 38mm model, and $399 for the 42mm model. This is followed by the Apple Watch, which commands a higher starting price tag of $549, which climbs to $1099 depending on the selected size and band options. Apple Watch Edition is the priciest Watch model with a base cost of $10,000 for the white sports band model.

Apple Watch straps include the Sport Band in black, blue, green, pink and white ($49); the Classic Buckle in black and midnight blue ($149); the Leather Loop in bright blue, light brown and stone ($149); the Modern Buckle in midnight blue, brown, soft pink, rose gray and bright red ($249); the Milanese Loop in stainless steel ($149); and the Link Bracelet in brushed stainless steel and polished space black ($449).
