Music lovers probably heard about Clex jailbreak tweak. The tweak has just received a new update to support iOS 8. The latest package is dubbed as Clex2 and provides you with system-wide access to music controls from anywhere within iOS.

Clex2 is developed by Gabriele Filipponi and it allows you to control the currently playing song from anywhere as well gain access to a list of all the songs that are available on your device.

The tweak brings a unique functionality that takes advantage of swipe gestures to achieve its goal. It allows users to swipe from the left or the right edges of the screen to view its interface that looks strikingly similar to Control Center, making it feel like a native feature.

When you swipe from right side of the screen, a sidebar-like interface opens that allows you to control the currently playing song such as play/pause, go to the next or the previous song as well as view all the songs composed by the same artist.

Upon installing the tweak, a new preference pane will be added to the stock Settings app that allows you to configure Clex 2. The first time you access the preference pane, you’ll be taken through a short tutorial introducing you to all the features provided by the tweak. Once you’re done with the tutorial, you can head to its settings section to configure it.

Clex 2 is available as a free upgrade to all users who previously purchased Clex for iOS 7. However, if you’re a new user, you can purchase it for $1.99 from Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
