Verizon launching VoLTE in 2014, delays LTE-only phones until 2016

Verizon is set to launch Voice over LTE service in the fourth quarter of this year, although its first LTE-only smartphones will not hit the market until 2016. The carrier will continue selling phones with CDMA chipsets through the first half of 2016.
