Three years ago, Apple launched Siri on the iPhone 4S, a personal voice assistant that will help you in everything you want from info, reaching destination and maybe for hiding a dead body. These ester egg responses are supposed to just be light humor. But, for one Florida man, things took a much more serious turn. According to Seattle’s KIRO 7 news, accused murderer Pedro Bravo actually did turn to Siri for advice on where to hide a body.

According to evidence presented in court yesterday. [ KIRO 7′s website]:

New evidence presented Tuesday in the trial of a man accused of killing his roommate showed he apparently asked Siri on his iPhone, “I need to hide my roommate.”
Pedro Bravo is accused of killing University of Florida student Christian Aguilar in 2012.

“Gainesville Police Department Detective Matt Goeckel said the Siri conversation between Bravo and his phone happened on Sept. 20, 2012. Goeckel also said Bravo’s flashlight was on nine times and used for over 48 minutes on that date as well.
From 11:31 p.m. to 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2012, Goeckel said there was no activity of any kind on Bravo’s cell. At 1:23 a.m. on Sept. 21, 2012, Bravo’s cellphone could be seen to be back on the network at Spyglass Apartments.”

It was reported in June that Apple is looking to replace Siri’s Nuance-powered back-end, while the former Siri team are working on a next-generation virtual personal assistant.
