Reuters cites a report from Economic Daily News from Taiwan that claims Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn will begin mass production of iPhone 6 very soon. The report says that Foxconn will begin mass production of 4.7 inch iPhone 6 this month, and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 in second week of August.

Foxconn went on a hiring spree in June and brought in approximately 100,000 employees for building the next iPhones. Foxconn’s parent company’s CEO Terry Gou also said that 10,000 robots were added to the iPhone 6 assembly line for constructing new phones.

Apple is highly expected to release both iPhone 6 models, and reports say they could be launched on September 19th or 25th. Anticipated specs include Touch ID fingerprint sensor, A8 processor, and 8 megapixel camera. Apart from the difference in display size, the 5.5 inch variant will include optical image stabilization.

Reports also say that the 4.7 inch model will be available in 32 and 64 GB variants, while 128 GB variant will be offered with the 5.5 inch model. Apple is also planning to increase price of the iPhone 6 by $100, probably for the 5.5 inch model.
