Beats Music apps will remain available for Android and Windows Phone

Now that Apple has officially announced the acquisition of Beats Electronics and the Beats Music service, customers who use the music service on competing platforms are wondering what will happen to their client when Apple finalizes the deal. Though Apple will oversee the future direction of the service, the company confirmed today that it plans to run Beats Music as an independent entity, leaving the existing clients in place.
