The iOS 7’s public announcement showcased that there were changes to the original demo version. Several real features were added in the final version, with one of the highlights being the Control Center which included place for buttons. Even though it needs some work, it is one of the most used features in iOS 7.

The new concept video of iOS 8 here depicts what was started and how it was pushed to the next level.

Here’s the video:

Apart from the Control Center improvement, the interface for multitasking also receives attention. The new switching system, that shows an app preview,, has already been an improvement over the offerings before iOS 7, but the video concept creates a special moment by mashing it with Control Center.

Originally created by Bil Labus, the iOS 8 would include a better Control Center with a smaller interface for multitasking. The good thing of having the app switching and Control Center accessible from a single interface is that you can use an upward swipe to invoke the former. He things the gesture makes sense for app switching.

Flicking up from the bottom of the edge allows the multitasking app views to be tied directly to the gesture, which allows for direct manipulation and avoids having to wait for a passive animation to complete before interacting with them.

It’s a fascinating idea, and we hope the jailbreak community takes notes: multitasking is already tested in the community, and a tweak based on this concept would be a welcome.
