Today the popular hacker and developer Pod2G has just posted on his official Twitter account an idea for making iOS a more open operating system. Rather then changing anything with the current firmware, he suggests that Apple release an alternate version that allows unsigned apps to run. This version would need to be manually installed by advanced users and developers.

Check out his full tweet:

Hi. An idea for Apple to open iOS more, kill jb and related vuln. research: release an alternate firmware version not requiring signed code. Advanced / power users would have to download this special version and install it with their own risks.

We always wanted to see iOS more open operating system, and Pod2G was the first hacker who asked Apple to give the developers the opportunity to make iOS much more better.. Tim Cook the CEO of Apple at D11’s interview said: Apple Will Open iOS Up More For Third Party Developers

So what do you think about this idea ?
