Apple Applies for .apple Top-Level Domain

Early today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers posted a list of companies that have applied for top-level domains, a system which ICANN recently stated they were going to implement. These top-level domains work like “.com” or “.org” do currently, in that a company such as Apple could have the domain name “iPhone.apple”.
