iOni1c, or Stefan Esser, the well known German iPhone hacker could jailbreak the iPad 2 running iOS 5.1, If he did it – and I think he did it – he is the faster ! As all of you guys know, pod2g and his dream team working on finding vulnerabilities in iOS 5.1, iOni1c do it only a week after the release of the new iOS firmware.

- Pod2g asked users to send him crash reports to ease finding vulnerabilities
- Pod2g teased i0n1c by saying “a little bird told me you’ll have a surprise soon.†which means he probably knew!
- i0n1c, few minutes ago, published 3 photos on his Twitter account showing an iPad 2 on iOS 5.1 running Cydia.
Are you surprised for the quick progress he achieved.
I know all of you hope this new exploit found by i0n1c works on the newly released third-generation iPad known as the New iPad. Once the New iPad hits shelves, i0n1c will try his exploit and most probably it will work.
What Jailbreaking iPad 2 means?
1) Jailbreaking iPad 2 means jailbreaking iPhone 4S
2) Jailbreaking iPad 2 means jailbreaking an A5 jailbreak soon.
But the big question is whether it’s tethered on untethered jailbreak. Let’s wait and see!
