iTunes Match service was announced alongside iPhone 4S during Apple last media event “let`s Talk iPhone” and was fixed to launch by the end of October.
iTunes Match allows users to sync their music libraries with Apple`s database of over 20 million tracks in the iTunes Store making these songs available on any iCloud-enabled device with the user`s account.

As you know, ten days ago or so ,we received news about the music section app in iOS 5 gaining a new toggle for turning iTunes Match on and off suggesting that Apple is near to launching the iTunes Match service. iTunes Match was in beta service alongside iTunes 10.5 developer releases. The feature was taken off from the public releases and replaced with iTunes 10.5.1.

We receive another piece of news on the 27th of October saying that developers received emails stating that their Match libraries would be resent on that day. Naturally, that means the long wait is almost over and we`re on the verge of an iTunes Match public release.

It`s November 1st and still no word of an iTunes Match!!. Apple has seemingly missed it`s iTunes Match launch date. Developers who have been testing iTunes 10.5.1 beta discovered today that the iTunes 10.5.1 beta has ended with no replacement on the horizon.

We are still awaiting Apple`s comment on the delay. Many developers, however, expect the iTunes Match service to officially launch today.
