Developer MuscleNerd released today a new updated version 0.9.9b7 of RedSn0w in response to the big number of iPhone users complaining about the long time the jailbreaking process takes. The reason is that RedSn0w takes a lot of time “stashing applications” on your iPhone.

This version cuts down or reduces the jailbreaking time from 210 minutes to 60 minutes;60% faster than the previous version. This is without a doubt great news for many.
However, there`s an issue that you need to consider first.the time you`ll gain in the jailbreaking process with the new version ,you`ll spend the first time you launch Cydia on “stashing” those applications that were removed from the “default” stashing in RedSn0w.

After some feedback on reddit, we’ve decided to make the initial jailbreak as quick as possible by no longer “stashing” the applications by default during the redsn0w run. This reduces the time to actually perform the jailbreak from 210 seconds to 80 seconds (60 percent!). However, you make up for much of that the first time you launch Cydia, which will then want to stash the applications. You can choose whether you want redsn0w or Cydia to stash in the Preferences pane.

So, the choice is yours now.Do you want to stash the applications while you are jailbreaking on RedSn0w or delay until you launch Cydia? Choose from the preferences pane.
