Facebook have updated its iOS app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Facebook’s new version 3.4.4 for iDevices is now available for download and it comes with a lot of essential bug fixes and performance improvements.



Full changelog of Facebook for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch version 3.4.4 are:

  1. Restored the Send button for Comments, Chat and Messages
  2. Restored friend lists to the News Feed filter
  3. Fixed a number of bugs that caused the app to crash

How to Install Facebook (iPad):
Step 1: Download and install the latest Facebook app available in the App Store (Download Link) and loin to your Facebook account via the app.

Step 2: SSH into iPad or install iFile from Cydia. For this guide we’ll be using iFile which is available in Cydia.

Step 3: Open iFile, Tap on the Preferences and turn the Application Names ON.

Step 4: Navigate to the following directory in File:

/var/mobile/applications/Facebook/Facebook.app

Step 5: Scroll down and locate the info.plist and open it in Property List Viewer.


Step 6: Locate UIDeviceFamily and tap on it to modify it. Change the value to 2 and hit the Done button.

Step 7: Reboot your iPad and enjoy the Facebook app on iPad with iPad GUI.

Facebook 3.4.4 for iOS devices is now available for download in the App Store. It requires you to have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later. Please note that the iOS app is not originally designed for the iPad, so even if you install it on your iPad, its going to be the iPhone app magnified twice.
