According to an “incredibly solid source” to BGR, Apple will launch a low priced iPhone at the end of this summer. The source claims that the handser won’t be sold for over than $350 without contract.
According to our source, Apple will indeed be launching a prepaid / lower cost iPhone this year. We are told the handset will retail for no more than $350 without contract. Ready for the really interesting part? It’s entirely possible that the low-cost iPhone will in fact be the iPhone 3GS.
The Source also claims that the low priced iPhone will actually be the iPhone 3GS, And they theorized that the Next iPhone will be actually iPhone 4S, but that’s not it, The iPhone 4S will be marketed along side iPhone 4 and the Low priced iPhone 3GS. This will give Apple a full range of devices in the lower, mid, and high-end price segments.
It Seems like Apple is looking forward to compete against the cheaper Android Devices.
