Before the iPhone X was launched, Apple was worried about steadying a secure steady of OLED panels which is why it went ahead and signed a deal with Samsung Display to secure 100 million OLED panels running into billions of dollars. However, with the smartphone market slowing down and iPhones sales falling, Apple has not required as many OLED panels as it had hoped for.
