Apple today rolled out a new firmware for the 2nd and 3rd gen. Apple TV. Apple TV software update 6.2 (build 11D257c) is probably only focused on bug fixing and includes “general performance and stability improvements.”
Last week Apple added four new channels to the Apple TV (ABC News, PBS Kids, AOL On & Willow TV) along with a redesigned Flickr app.
Earlier in June, Apple released Apple TV 7 beta 1 firmware to developers. The new beta, intended to be used for ”testing AirPlay with iOS apps”, also brings iCloud Family Sharing and some Continuity features to Apple TV.
