Nest recalls 440,000 of its Protect Combination Smoke and CO detectors

Nest today issued an official recall of its Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Nest halted sales of the smoke detector in April after the discovery of a serious flaw in the smoke detection system. Nest has sold more than 440,000 units in the United States since the product’s debut in 2013.
