For those of you who have considered Find My iPhone app as useless or
not up to the mark are surely going to think again after reading these
news. On Monday night, the Houston, Texas police found a 5 year old
using the app.

According to the police, the father of the child used an iPad to find
out the iPhone that was placed in a SUV that was stolen and had the
child.

 ABC 13 reports that the Houston police was successful in finding
the vehicle which was stolen when the father went into a local liquor
store on Monday.

According to Harris County Constable’s Office Lt. Wayne Schultz,
“The father had an iPad that he’d taken in with him and utilized that
iPad with the iPhone that was in the car and was able to track it,” . He
told this to Houston’s KTRK.

Thanks to the app, the child was recovered in a safe condition and the vehicle was located as well.

This isn’t the first time Find My iPhone app came in handy from
someone. An eight year old also used the app to track his iPad that was
given to him as a Christmas gift.

Google has also developed their native Find My iPhone version that runs on its Android software.

Find My iPhone is a very important app, but to be honest with you, the app must be improved and make it easier for users to find their lost/stolen iOS devices…
