In iOS 6, Apple has introduced a new advertising identifier, a non-permanent, non-personal device identifier that allows advertisers to track the activity on your iPhone to server you targeted ads. It’s an alternative to UDID, which Apple had deprecated after privacy concerns were raised with the way Apple and developers used UDID.
As we had pointed out a few days back, Apple allows you to stop advertisers from tracking your engagement on your iPhone for targeted advertising.
