Yesterday we posted about Russian developer ZonD80 who hacked into Apple`s In-app purchasing allowing users to get In-app paid content free of charge, losing Apple and the developer community lots of time and effort.

This hack, one of several that Apple has been through lately, and Apple had to take action. Today, the fruit company released a statement saying:

“The security of the App Store is incredibly important to us and the developer community,” Apple representative Natalie Harrison, told The Loop. “We take reports of fraudulent activity very seriously and we are investigating.”

TheNextWeb in a report today said that the system has already been used to make over 30,000 illegal in-app purchases. Even at $.99 a pop, that would equate to tens of thousands of dollars in lost profits for developers.

Hopefully Apple managed to take down the servers soon.
