We have a new fruit company rumor today guys and this one is coming from the Japanese blog Macotakara in which they cite Chinese sources. According to the report, Apple is developing a 5-inch mobile device with a Retina display and a resolution of 1,600 x 960 or 1,280-by-960 pixels and to be launched in 2013.
The report didnt hint at what that 5-inch device could be. So we are doing some speculation here. It could be a bigger iPod touch, but that would be against everything Apple is since the current iPod touch screen is 3.5 inch and it`s unlikely that the fruit company would go for bigger even if there are bigger screen sized devices out there like Samsung`s Galaxy note which, although, gained a lot of popularity in the tech world, it`s just not for every taste and it`s not like Apple follows the market.
Could it be, then, a smaller iPad?. Although we have heard before about a smaller iPad coming to the market, going from a 9.7 inch to 5 inch is seems unlikely. With tablets, smaller is not exactly something many would go for, unless they are only concerned with the price rate.
We will wait and see if other rumors start popping supporting this one or completely denying it.
