The new iPad with its numerous and revolutionary features was not the only the only thing Apple unveiled today. We also got to meet iOS 5.1, the firmware update we have been waiting for for several months now.
iOS 5.1 brought a lot of new features to the table, some of which we already heard rumors about like the new iPad camera app, the Japanese language for Siri and the new camera shortcut, and others are a wonderful addition to the list of features like the 4G indicator. Yes, the new iOS firmware adds a 4G indicator to AT&T iPhone 4S users.
And while the iPhone 4S doesn`t truly support a 4G chip, AT&T still refers to the iPhone 4S as a 4G device since it supports HSPA+ networks up to 16 megabits per second.
The new iPad, on the other hand, which will be available on March 16 in 10 countries will support 4G LTE radios.
