Another 7 inch iPad report surfaced today by DigiTimes which is not exactly known for having the best track record when it comes to Apple. In case you are just hearing about this, a couple of days ago, a rumor was brought up that a 7-inch iPad is coming in Q3 of 2o12. Today DigiTimes says a 7.85 inch iPad is moving closer to production.

DigiTimes`s report refers to an article from United Evening News, a Taiwanese newspaper, which said that Apple has just picked suppliers for the smaller tablet.

We have indeed been hearing for some time now about Apple looking to manufacture a smaller iPad and with this heavy density of supporting rumors, we are inclined to somewhat believe Apple may actually be considering it.

According to the UEN, Apple has chosen the Taiwanses-based company Pegatron for this project. The article has also mentioned LG Display and AU Optronics as component suppliers and that supports earlier rumors calming that these three companies will product the smaller iPad.

Hopefully we will hear an official word with regard to that in the near future.
