Every non-iPhone 4S owner has been trying to get Siri on his phone. Hackers have indeed managed to port Siri to older devices successfully; however, the port can’t be used for it will infringe on Apple`s copyrights.

A good compensating news that we have today is a Siri dictation feature that is made available on Cydia for the iPhone and it really works.

Developer Eric Day  has developed a new tweak called “Siri0us” which he described as “Siri dictation for iOS 5 devices, No iPhone 4S keys/files required“. The tweak has been tested and proved a success on a number of iDevices.

It works great on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 3G. The tweak transcribes sounds into words rather quickly and the end-result is really great, pretty much the same as Apple`s Siri.

Siri0us is available on Cydia for free http://apt.if0rce.com. The developer has also noted a bug that some may encounter while trying to install the app. If the device keeps respringing, don`t restore. use a SSH tool to remove.

Redsn0w.us‘s notes:
  • If the repo doesn’t work for you, keep trying.
  • After experiencing several errors, you would be able to add it in Cydia. Once added, search for “Siri0us” and install.
