Since the launch of the iPhone 4S, users have been experiencing major, frustrating battery life issues. The iPhone 4S`s battery drains so fast rendering the whole “smartphone” unreliable. Apple admitted the problem and released after a new update for the iOS 5, iOS 5.0.1 which promised a fix for the battery issue.

Disappointing enough, the issue still lingered and users are get more and more unhappy, and justifiable so to speak. They have in fact spent a small fortune on an device and not just any device, an Apple one. In short, Apple means reliablilty, efficiency and perfection.

A couple of days ago, the German blog Macerkopf, reported that an Apple insider revealed that Apple has resolved the battery issue completely giving its users the promised 40 hours of standby and 10 hours` usage. The source claimed that the software update will be released no later than the following week.

Today, the German blog Macerkopf, brings some disappointing news today. Apparently, the waiting period is going to be a bit longer than expected. The blog`s source assures that Apple has indeed fixed the battery drainage issues (Well, we have to see it to believe it). However, there’re still some memory leaks issues which require more work. So, instead of releasing 5.0.3 immediately after, Apple preferred to delay the release until it fixes all the issues. And then we wait again.

Apple has to fix these problems fast for iPhone 4S users patience is definitely wearing thin.
