A report issued today by Cnet claims that Apple is currently trying to secure international music licenses for its iCloud service in countries other than the U.S. Insider Sources familiar with the discussions between Apple and the U.S. record labels say that the agreements are close to finalizing but an official deal has not been signed yet. Apple is seeking to secure this deal before the October 4th media event “Let`s talk iPhoneâ€.
In case you don`t get the point, without these licenses , iCloud and iTunes Match will have a weak offering for those outside the U.S.iCloud will still function with your apps but the music feature, being one of its top features, will be greatly affected. Hopefully the record label will save the day in time for the media event.
