For fixing some Lion issues and and for prepping the devices for the new Apple Thunderbolt Display, Apple has released 2 new EFI firmware updates:

  • The 1st update for Macbook Pro [The Macbook Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.2]: To fix Thunderbolt Display compatibility problems with early 2011 models and enables Lion Recovery over an internet connection, as users know, Lion Internet Recovery feature was limited to the new Macbook Air and Mac mini models only. Now the update allows a user to boot from the Mac’s recovery partition and reinstall Lion by downloading it over the internet in the case of any problem.
  • The 2nd update for Mac mini models [The Mac Mini EFI Firmware Update 1.3]: To fix the problems appeared with the new Thunderbolt Display.
