Foxconn Technology Group is expected to manufacture 20 million iPad 2 in the third quarter of 2011 which shows a 60% growth rate in comparison to the amount manufactured and sold the first half of the year.The sales for the new device are expected to witness a major growth.

Digtimes reports that:

“For the third quarter, Foxconn is expected to ship 20 million units of iPad 2 to Apple, a growth of 60% sequentially, and the orders should be the major growth driver for the company in the second half”.

The sales volume of tablet computers in the whole world will amount to 65.2 million sets and that of iPad series of Apple will reach 40 million sets, according to a research report made by DigiTimes.
