Recently, Apple decided to buy the iPods.com domain from it’s owner who was not satisfied with the sum Apple was offering, So Apple filed a complaint with the WIPO and the ownership of the domain was given to Apple.
Back in May, Apple lodged a complaint with the WIPO over the dispute regarding iPods.com domain, And although that the finer details haven’t been disclosed yet, it was confirmed that Apple was given the legal ownership of the ipods.com domain name.
Apple spent millions of dollars before on purchasing domain name like iCloud.com which Apple bought it for $4.5 million. It’s not known how much was offered by Apple for the purchasing of ipods.com but the previous owner didn’t like it.
It’s likely that Apple landed the domain for no more than a bunch of thousands of dollars not millions.
