We have seen iOS receiving updated to iOS 5.0.1 and seeded to developers to receive another quick update into iOS 5.0.1 b2 which was also seeded to developers. After all these betas, Apple finally rolls out its iOS 5.0.1 to the masses. The updates brings a lot of bug fixes, the most prominent of which is the battery drainage one which was a matter of concern for a lot of iPhone 4S customers.

Early reports say that the new release does indeed fix the iOS 5 battery drainage bug, bring Siri improvements, and brought Multitasking gestures for the original iPad as promised by Apple changelog.

Great, but don`t forget if you`re planning to jailbreak your iPhone, don’t upgrade to that version since the iOS bug which was discovered by hacker Charlie Miller is fixed by Apple in that release which means tethered jailbreak still.
