Apple’s iPhone lineup dominates the premium end of the smartphone market. While the company does not ship as many smartphones in a year as Samsung, it still manages to dominate the mobile industry in terms of profit. As per numbers from the latest Counterpoint Research, the iPhone X alone accounted for 35 percent of the total profit generated by the smartphone industry in Q4, 2017 and 21 percent of the total revenue.
