Confirmed: Apple To Hold Media Event On September 12 To Unveil ‘iPhone 5′ [Updated]

We reported earlier today that Apple is planning to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 5 along with the cheaper and smaller iPad mini, next generation iPod Touch and iPod nano at a special event on September 12th and will be released on September 21st.
AllThingsD now reports that their sources have also told them that Apple is currently planning an event in that week.
