iOS 10 Stopped Showing the Date in Notification Center and Some Beta Tester Are Not Happy

iOS 10 overhauled the “Today” view in the Notification Center and in the process it has lost the docked widget on top that used to show the date. It seems like a minor change but beta testers in this Reddit thread are flipping out. This is so frustrating in fact, that a commenter on the thread went ahead and created a Notification Center widget just to solve this problem.
