Apple engineer talks about the design decisions of the new 12-inch MacBook

The new 12-inch MacBook Air from Apple is no doubt a feat of engineering. It is Apple’s first fanless, lightest (2 pounds) and thinnest (13.1mm) laptop yet. To achieve such a thin design though, Apple had to make some compromises, including fitting the laptop with only a single USB-C port.
