Apple’s rumored move to a smaller sized dock connector in newer iOS devices would almost definitely mean that the company will introduce adapters to maintain compatibility with older accessories and cables.
According to iLounge, Apple would hold the exclusive right to make and sell such adapters, denying third parties the required licenses, at least initially.
