After a long 10-month wait, the PanGu team has recently released a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3. Unfortunately this latest jailbreak tool is only working on 64-bit devices. The other drawback of this latest tool is that it is, what is being called, a “semi-untethered jailbreak.” Those of you who have been in the jailbreaking scene in the past may remember the semi-tethered jailbreaks of yesteryear which required you to connect your device to a computer(tether) in order to reboot the device. If the device rebooted when you weren’t near a computer, the device became completely unusable. This “semi-untethered” jailbreak is not nearly as much of a hassle since the device will still be usable when jailbreak mode is disabled and instead of having to connect your device to your computer, you can simply open an app on your springboard to reboot into jailbreak mode.

PanGu for iOS 9.3.3 is compatible with the following 64-bit devices: iPhone 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, SE, iPad Air 1, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2/3/4 and 6th-generation iPod touch

How to jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 (Win/OSX/Linux)

Step 1) Download Saurik’s Impactor tool from http://www.cydiaimpactor.com

Step 2) Download the PanGu app from http://dl.pangu.25pp.com/jb/NvwaStone_1.1.ipa

Step 3) Connect your device to your computer and open the Impactor tool you download in Step 1

Step 4) Simply drag the IPA file you downloaded in step 2 onto the Impactor window. Next you will have to enter your iCloud account login information(this is the account that will be used to sign the app, so we would advise setting up a new iCloud account that you don’t care about). After you’ve entered your login information, the app will be installed on your device.

Step 5) Go to Settings > General > Device Management(it may take a second for it to appear) and you will now see a certificate from your account. Click trust on the certificate and then click trust again.

Step 6) Now go back to your springboard and click on the PanGu app that was installed in Step 4. You will get a pop-up asking you to allow notifications from the app, be sure to click “yes.” Below the start button there is a checkbox, make sure to check this box(the checkmark will turn white) so that the certificate you generated in Step 4 will be replaced with a 1-year enterprise certificate from the PanGu team(this will prevent you from having to repeat this process every 7 days).

Step 6) Now simply press the “start” button. You will be instructed to lock your device, once the device locks you should receive a notifaction shortly thereafter that the jailbreak has succeeded. At this point, all you need to do is wait. After a few seconds your device should respring and you will now see the Cydia icon on your springboard.

Rebooting into jailbreak mode

Once you’ve completed the above steps, you are all set. Remember that any time you reboot your device(respringing is fine) you will need to re-enter jailbreak mode. To do that, simply open the PanGu app on your springboard, click the “start” button, lock your device and then wait for the respring.

IMPORTANT: The exploit(s) that make this jailbreak possible were patched in the latest firmware 9.3.4, so be sure not to update past 9.3.3 if you wish to jailbreak.
