Many Apple device owners tend to available AppleCare+ for many years now to get their device fixed. This year, AppleCare+ service has seen a price hike for all the new iPhone model Apple unveiled on September 12.

Apple has increased the AppleCare+ program price for iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 to $129 from the original $99. The AppleCare+ program for the iPhone X will set you back $199. Spending the amount mentioned above will extend your limited warranty to 2 years from the date of purchase and offers up to two accidental damage incidents.

Please note that these two events of damage are subject to $29 fee for screen damage or $99 for any other damage. While many expected the damage related to the new glass back of the iPhone 8 to cost as much as the screen replacement, but that is not the case.

Folks over at AppleInsider confirms that the glass on the back falls under the “other damage” category. It means if you somehow crack the back glass, a repair under ApplCare+ program will cost you $99. Keep in mind that that’s the cost for up to two replacements. After any subsequent replacement, the cost will jump to $349 for the iPhone 8 and $399 for the larger iPhone 8 Plus.

The new iPhone owners have the option to signup for ApplCare+ program within the six months of original purchase. The Apple Care+ for iPhone 8 costs $129 and for the iPhone 8 Plus it costs $149.

While the official price of AppleCare+ for the iPhone X is $199, there is no info on what an individual replacement will cost the customers. Considering the price hike for older iPhone models, it won’t come as a surprise if Apple charges more for a single repair of the iPhone X model.
