Facebook Wants iPhone Users to Grant Tracking Permission to Keep Services ‘Free of Charge’


With the release of iOS 14.5, Apple also rolled out App Tracking Transparency which requires apps to take users’ explicit permission before they can track them across apps and services. The feature is expected to have an impact on the advertising industry, with Facebook heavily criticizing it. Now, Facebook and Instagram want iPhone users to grant them the required permission for tracking them to keep their services “free of charge.”
