Instagram announced on Thursday that it is bringing Instagram Stories to the web. The feature, which is slowly rolling out to users around the globe, will let anyone view their friends’ stories on both mobile and desktop. Additionally, the company noted that users will also be able to post stories from the mobile web in the coming months.

You’ll see stories at the top of your feed, and you can tap to watch them. To skip or go back to a story, you can tap the right and left arrows.
Stories will appear at the top of your feed on mobile, and will show to the right of your feed on desktop. To view a story, simply tap or click on it, and use the Left/Right arrows to go to the Previous/Next one. To exit a story, just tap or click on the X mark in the top right, which will bring you back to your feed.
Greatly inspired by the Snapchat feature carrying the same name, the company notes that Instagram Stories are used by over 250 million people every day.
