iPhone 8 dummy protective case

The dummy unit of iPhone 8 that we saw earlier this year has surfaced once again. The iPhone 8 dummy unit shows off what is a familiar design for the upcoming iPhone model. Since this is just a mockup, the screen does not turn on and neither does it have an operating system installed.

iPhone 8 dummy

This dummy unit is supposed to be the actual iPhone 8 that the company is going to launch later this year. But, for now, it is just a shell. As you’d have thought, there is nothing remarkably different than what we have seen so far. The video shows oft-rumored vertically aligned dual camera system on the rear of the device. The device also appears to have much-reduced bezels compared to the current iPhone 7 lineup. And as we have already seen in the past, the device has a two-tone color scheme; sides being silver and the back being black.

While the dummy unit shown in the video does not have a fingerprint sensor on the back side of the device, it also doesn’t give any direct indication as to what’s going on with the Touch ID. However, we can assume that the company is still trying to launch the iPhone 8 with Touch ID integrated within the display.

The video also puts the iPhone 8 dummy unit right next to the current generation iPhone model. Have a look at this iPhone 8 dummy unit video after the jump.
