Use your research as the basis for any report about Apple and what it prepares for the future — beyond Retina Display modules — No Talking right now except that Apple has started testing of Retina Display modules for the iPad 3, manufactured by LG and Samsung. It has been around five months since the iPad 2 was launched in March and it did not bring a Retina Display to everyone’s favorite tablet. Will the iPad 3 boast Retina Display?

The report comes from Korean Times, a newspaper that has previously made some predictions about the iPad 2. Legitimacy of this source can be hardly doubted.

“Apple’s upcoming iPad 3 will feature an improved display to support quad extended graphics (QXGA), a display resolution of 2048×1536 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio to provide full high definition (HD) viewing experience,” said a source close to the talks.
“Apple has traditionally preferred to use the same providers of the same parts for the same device, even as they evolve to different versions. I don’t see any fundamental change to that approach.”

A Retina Display on an iPad would definitely look amazing. However, one should next expect an iPad 3 release at least until next year. Reportedly, this testing is being carried out in some lab in China and is expected to be completed by the end of Q3, 2011.
