Jailbreaking an iPad 2 on 4.3.5

My real question is how would I go about this? Uninstall iTunes and install an older iTunes. Does 4.3.5 contact the update server? Really stumped here. Also what would be the best iOS to run the iPad on before the iOS makes the iPad lag
