Liang Chen has posted a photo on his Twitter handle of the first known jailbreak for iOS 12.1 on Apple iPhone XS Max. He also revealed that he will demo his accomplishment at POC 2018.

Before you get your hopes too high, KeemLab os known for not releasing its jailbreak tools for public consumption. So, you should not expect a public iOS 12.1 jailbreak anytime soon, not at least from the KeepLab. They will probably sell the jailbreak to a private company for millions of dollars or perhaps to the highest bidder.

Here is what Liang tweeted after successfully achieving the iOS 12.1 jailbreak.

Before this, qwertyoruiopz has also demoed iPhone XS Max Jailbreak.

While the jailbreak community will be disappointed that the developer won’t be releasing his jailbreak to the public, it does make it clear that iOS 12.1 is jailbreak-able. Now it is just a matter of time until some other hacking team or developer find an exploit in iOS 12.1 and release a public jailbreak for it.

Usually, when hackers come across a jailbreak exploit at an early stage of the iOS release cycle, they either sell it to private organizations or continue to sit on it until Apple is ready to push a new iOS release.

Are you looking forward to jailbreaking your new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, or iPhone XR? or the jailbreak is dead for you due to lack of public releases lately?
