Apple Ordered to Pay Another $502 Million to VirnetX for Patent Infringement

Apple and VirnetX have been involved in a legal battle for over eight years now. VirnetX has accused Apple of infringing on its secure communications patents with FaceTime, VPN on Demand and iMessage features in iOS. Over the years, Apple has been ordered to pay $625 million, and $532 million in different trials for patent infringement to VirnetX.
