As per DigiTimes analyst Luke Lin, Apple has managed to reduce the manufacturing cost of the 2018 iPhone X by a significant margin when compared to the existing iPhone X. The report is based on the upstream supply chain information of Apple which states that the BOM of the 2018 iPhone X is 10 percent lower than that of the existing iPhone X. The total BOM of the 2017 iPhone X was upwards of $400.
