Apple’s iOS system offers tons of great features and quick actions like copying and pasting texts but one essential feature that it lacks is the ability to quickly translate a word or phrase from one language to another with a tap of a button. Google Translate does the job fairly well but what if you wanted to translate texts quickly from anywhere in iOS? Tap to Translate is a new jailbreak tweak that does the job for you.

This awesome tweak is inspired by Android’s quick translation feature that iOS doesn’t have. Using this tweak you will be able to quickly translate anything with just one tap without needing to use any translation apps.

If you want to translate a phrase from one language to another, simply highlight it and tap on the Copy button. As soon as you do this, the tweak displays a floating button. Pressing it displays a popup with a translation of the copied phrase using Google Translate.

You can opt-in for a new translation or change the translation language. If you tap on the more options button, represented by three dots, next to the translated text, you can copy it or open it in the Google Translate app if installed.

The only issue with the tweak is its interface which requires a lot of work. The translated text is crammed into a small text box making it hard to read.

Tap to Translate is definitely worth checking out and might come in handy on a regular basis. It is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo and works on iOS 9.3.3.

Try the tweak on your jailbroken device and let us know your opinion about it in our comment section below.
